JOYNT DINNER FROM CREATIVE SISTERS
CELEBRATES BEST OF OTAGO
Event AlertJune 2014
Creative sisters, Hannah and Robyn Joynt are collaborating to fashion a special dining event for the International Food Design Experience hosted by the Food Design Institute at Otago Polytechnic.
They have dubbed the experience “The Local” and each of them will use their creative strengths to create a remarkable evening of fine food and art.
Bachelor of Culinary Arts student Robyn is taking responsibility for creating a seasonal three course dinner celebrating the best finest from the Otago Farmer’s Market, with the dishes also inspired by the market shopping experience. Some people will know Robyn for her food blog http://www.soulfoodie.net a forum for sharing seasonal recipes and inspiring photography.
With the dinner being held in Hannah’s Art Studio its not surprising that her contribution will be creating artwork to accompany the dining experience. Hannah’s paintings have been exhibited throughout New Zealand and she says that her understanding and relationship with paint is an on going and infinitive journey, one that never seems to tire. It is this enthusiasm the she will bring to the table.
The International Food Design Experience, Conference and Studio is a three day forum for chefs, designers and food lovers from New Zealand and internationally to explore and practice the latest food design techniques.
