Green Tomato and Ginger Chutney
After a trip down to the local farmers market, I picked up some wonderful Heirloom Green Tomatoes, it’s not everyday you see this at the Otago Farmers Market. Since we are now in autumn and the winter months are fast approaching I decided the best way to utilize these glowing green tomatoes was to make a chutney.
Chutney can keep in the cupboard for up to 3 months, and once open in the fridge for around 3 weeks. The house filled with sweet smells of ginger and apple , tangy notes of vinegar and chili one way to entice the neighbor’s with this delicious aroma wafting out of the house.
