Tonight I’m trying out something I have never experienced before the Kohlrabi!
the kohlrabi is from the cabbage family and shares a similar taste to the centre I’d the cabbage or broccoli stalks. It has a hard dense texture and can be eaten raw or cooked.

I was gifted my Kohlrabi by a lecturer at campus today and he said “good luck” . I smiled, thinking I’m going to make this work. So I decided the best way of attack was to make a pickle.

The flavours in the pickle are fresh ginger, garlic, brown sugar, water and rice vinegar. It smelt really delicious but will it taste good?
